Dr. Rani Saggere Sharma originally hailed from Bengaluru, Karnataka, in the southern part of India. She immigrated to Fredericton, Canada in 2018 to pursue her Ph.D. She graduated with a Doctorate of Philosophy in Biology from the University of New Brunswick in May 2023 and currently works for UNB. Prior to this, she secured an integrated Masters in Biological Sciences from Bangalore University, India.
In academia, she has been a humble recipient of 28 awards just from her Ph.D. Apart from her Ph.D., Rani wore a plethora of hats in different volunteer organizations on and off campus including primary graduate senate member for UNB libraries, President of UNB Indian Students Association, Biology graduate advocate hiring committee, Biology safety committee representative, Session Chair for the annual graduate research conference, NB Immigrant Women’s Association, Student United Way, Fredericton Trials and Coalition etc. She was also recognized for her volunteer service with inclusion and COVID-19 community service awards.
Despite being a doctor by profession, her unquenching thirst to help people and unwavering passion has driven her toward the real estate profession. She has always believed in giving back to the Fredericton community which gave her plenty of opportunities to explore, expand her wings and settle down. SO, she is keen on continuing the tradition of assisting and be of service to the local people and international students/families who throng from various places to make Fredericton – A Home Sweet Home. As a REALTOR®, she strives to exercise a tailormade approach focusing on clients’ needs and offering the combined expertise of real estate knowledge and negotiation skills to bring out the best outcome with utmost client satisfaction.
